Aaron Prager: MA-04 District Winner, Congressional App Challenge

The Congressional App Challenge is run by the U.S. House of Representatives. Each participating Member of Congress selects one winning student developer from their own district, and that student’s app is showcased at the U.S. Capitol.

For the 2025 challenge, Rep. Jake Auchincloss selected Aaron Prager as the winner for Massachusetts’ 4th Congressional District, citing his app’s approach to simplifying diabetes data interpretation for people living with Type 1 diabetes.

Aaron was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 17 months old, and built BoostT1D out of that experience. He designed it to pair AI with what he already knew firsthand: it reads glucose data from Nightscout, estimates carbs from food photos, surfaces patterns worth taking to a doctor, and connects newly diagnosed families with people who have already walked the same path.

The district win was the start of Aaron’s run, he went on to be named an Eastern Region winner and then a National Top App winner.
