District winners from across the country advance to a regional round, where their apps are reviewed again on technical quality, originality, and real-world impact.
Aaron was named an Eastern Region winner, recognition for student-built software with nationwide impact. The award reflects the work he put into helping people with Type 1 diabetes and their families understand glucose data, spot patterns, and make better day-to-day decisions.
The regional round also put Aaron up for a public vote for favorite Regional Winner, taking his work to the wider T1D community rather than only a panel of judges.
Local press picked up his story around the same time, including profiles in The Heights and the Newton Beacon.
