AI for a Better World is a global challenge presented by Britebound in collaboration with MIT Solve, looking for young people using artificial intelligence to solve problems that actually matter.

In June 2026, Aaron and his teammate Maicey, both from Newton, MA, were announced as one of five winning teams selected from entrants worldwide, alongside teams from North Carolina, Georgia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. They entered as Team BoostT1D.

The five winning teams were invited to present at the MIT Media Lab during America’s Youth AI Festival, held July 17–19, 2026 across Boston and Cambridge. Aaron presented the AI-powered decision-support platform he built for Type 1 diabetes: reading glucose data, estimating carbs from food photos, surfacing patterns worth discussing with a care team, and supporting families in the first weeks after a diagnosis.

At the festival, Aaron and Maicey were named Grand Prize Winners, recognition for using AI to help people interpret their own health data, and for the support their work offers caregivers and newly diagnosed families.
